1991 brought us the final Dire Straits album, On Every Street, which was commemorated by an enormous two-year world tour—one of their most successful to date. On this album, Mark Knopfler created some classic Dire Straits songs such as “Calling Elvis,” “The Bug,” and “On Every Street.” The expanded lineup created yet another distinct sound that remained instantly recognizable as Dire Straits.
